In a time where many of us are overwhelmed by life, pain is just that, a real pain. I see it as our body's only way of communicating to us when it needs to be heard. I love the opportunity to advocate for my clients & encourage them while leaning into the process of healing, as well as understanding the nuances of their bodies' story. I come alive seeing others thrive and it means that much more when I've had the opportunity to journey with that person to be able to see the process in getting there. Not to mention, the amazing conversations and things that I learn from every encounter along the way.

I think this interest in movement coupled with how I enjoy problem solving primed me for physiotherapy. Through my undergrad at the University of Victoria I knew the healthcare field was for me and that I wanted to help people stay active. I gained my Masters at the University of Alberta which was an outstanding learning environment. I was fortunate enough to have some amazing placements that taught me the importance of education, manual therapy, and exercise prescription in achieving patient recovery and getting them back to their functional goals. Starting at Fort Physio, I found that they perfectly complemented my style of hands on physio and sense of collaboration. Through my three years here I am continually grateful to be surrounded by an outstanding team.

... in this field for more than six years before moving to Canada.
Growing up in Mumbai, I was introduced to the world of physiotherapy during my own recovery from an ankle injury. After the was removed, I was sent to physiotherapy straight away. The child in me was inspired by the power of this profession; I look back and am grateful for that encounter! What I absolutely love about my profession is that no two days are similar, there's an opportunity to learn something new each day and and abundant sense of satisfaction. My interest to pursue a certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment stemmed from the desire to understand, evaluate and treat the human spine with specific movements and to empower people to manage their symptoms efficiently. I strongly believe in treating clients based on their specific needs and not following a "one fit for all" approach based on diagnosis. It's humbling to be able to use my knowledge to create a small but meaningful impact on people's quality of life and to be a part of their healing and recovery process.

...at TWU prior to completing my Masters of Physical Therapy at UBC. A history of sports-related injuries, as well as a keen interest in problem-solving, movement science, anatomy and building relationships with people are what has made this the dream profession for me. My education and clinical experience have taught me the importance of listening to and seeking to understand my clients in order to reach their goals. My passion is to enhance my client’s confidence in their bodies and abilities through the use of individualized exercise, education, and manual therapy. Outside the clinic you might see me gallivanting through Walnut Grove and creatively keeping active with my wife and three kids!

...that originated when I discovered weightlifting at an early age. I’m at my happiest when moving or learning and becoming an RMT has given me ample opportunity for both!
Having to adapt my physical training to compensate for injury has made me acutely aware of just how life changing pain and dysfunction can be. My goal is to pair an evidence-based approach with a keen understanding of your individual needs to get you back doing what you love. I’m excited to learn your story and how I can help you achieve your health and fitness goals.

...to help others, a gift of caring for people, and a longing for an active job. I began with thoughts of nursing. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology, those thoughts morphed into plans for marriage & family therapy. Plans which quickly diverted to another healthcare profession – massage therapy! I am blessed to be able to say I love my job! I get to help others better understand their bodies and care for them throughout their journey.

…as a student athlete in Acrobatics and Tumbling. Being in competitive sports most of my life, and facing multiple injuries myself, I knew and understood the value of professional help in the rehabilitation field. This led me to pursue a degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Exercise Science at Coker University.
As a registered kinesiologist, I am passionate about using my knowledge and expertise in supporting clients to reach their goals, whether returning to functional movement, or improving physical activity at various levels.

I knew that acupuncture could be very helpful, especially for issues like sprained, swollen, or inflamed ankles and other joints, as well as accelerating the healing of pulled muscles.
I wanted to learn how to treat these injuries myself and really enjoyed learning more at a Chinese Medicine School! I don’t like seeing people around me sick and wanted to be able to help people stay healthy, especially after taking a Nutritional Healing (Orthomolecular Medicine) intensive course. The true doctor is within you and my job is to help that doctor go to work so that we can all enjoy an optimally healthy life!

I love meeting new people & hearing each unique story.
Benjamin Franklin once said "For every minute spent organizing, an hour is earned." I went to school in Alberta for Health Administration because I love organization. I find beauty in the chaos, and find satisfaction in arranging fragmented pieces into a collection of perfected systems and constructed order.
From my own experience, It's difficult to be the best version of ourselves while hindered or experiencing pain, which is why I love being a part of what Fort Physio has built by assisting our Clinicians to get our community back moving.

I am a recent grad from Trinity Western University where I studied business and competed in track and field. Through my experiences, I believe the presence of a strong and supportive community makes all the difference. I enjoy connecting and chatting with clients and empowering them in their journeys!
I would consider myself creative as I thoroughly enjoy designing and making things visually appealing. My role at Fort Physio allows me to use my creative talents and form relationships with both the FP team as well as all our lovely clients!

...helping people. Whether it be lending an ear to a client in need, or helping out around the clinic, I’m your person. The team at Fort Physio has made the clinic environment super welcoming and friendly, making it the perfect place to grow and thrive, for myself and for any client that comes through the door!

...because it allows me to stay motivated and focused towards my career and goals in healthcare. I’m thankful to be surrounded by people who value the care of others. Being a client care coordinator will not only increase my skills but also give me a chance to help anyone I can to ensure their comfort.

...which is why I wear cat ears with shiny bows no matter if i’m walking my dog, practicing piano, or doing my duties at work. I really like working at Fort Sport and Family Physio because my colleagues are the best!! I was first a client and lucky for me Robbie made my elbow strong again I joined the team to help them out with keeping the clinic clean for all the clients.
